ARDUINO UNO
Development boards are essential in electronics and engineering as they facilitate the development of prototypes thanks to their versatility and flexibility. The ARDUINO UNO board is one of the most popular thanks to its main features and the ease provided not only by its hardware, but also by the software with a free development environment and compatible with most sensors.
A challenge is developed in which a traffic light must be created using the plate, adding a red LED, a yellow LED and a green LED. This challenge was about programming the four states of the traffic light, these are:1. Red2. Red with yellow3. Green4. Yellowwithout forgetting the pedestrian traffic light time that increases by 4 seconds in state 1 and 3.The process began by programming the traffic light in states 1 to 4 and finally modifying the times of the pedestrian traffic light and we obtained the following result:
After completing the challenge we found that Arduino is a good option for the development of the project since it is easy to use and the development environment is friendly, the cost is affordable knowing that it is one of the most used and complete boards, too. There is documentation about it but for the implementation to the project we found that it has memory limitations and also that compared to other cards this does not offer us WIFI which is important for the development of the project.
